Starbucks Skinny Vanilla Blonde Roast Latte

Not all coffee drinkers are crazy, take-it-black die hards. Like any other human I need my caffeine but I’m not here for the natural bean water flavor. I’ve also been erring on the side of too much sugar lately, so I’m trying to cut back without compromising too much flavor.

Enter my latest favorite, the Skinny Vanilla Blonde Roast Latte.

Why this Starbucks Latte?

The blonde roast keeps it super smooth. It has a much lighter coffee taste to begin with, so it doesn’t overpower the other flavors. The latte comes standard with 2% milk, which I leave, but you can swap for almond or coconut for even less sugar. It’s a pretty lean option – compared to a lot of other items you can get on the menu with more flavor than just ‘bean’ – as long as you use the skinny syrup.

How to Order

The order is almost as-is on the app, but the one adjustment you need to make is the biggest sugar-reducing factor: the syrup. By default, this latte comes up on the app with the regular Vanilla Syrup, so be sure to change the pumps to 0, and add 3 pumps of the Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup.

Like almost any order aside from a ‘Grande Pike’ it’s sooo much easier to order on the app, but either way you do it, you have the instructions to try this delicious cup’a Joe for yourself.

Nutrition Information

NOTE: The information above doesn’t alter to the sugar-free syrup option. Approximately 8g of sugar is from the 2% milk, and I estimate the rest to be from the syrup. Using the sugar free syrup option should save you about 19g of sugar per latte!
